Possession of counterfeit materials, 1900 block Old Middlefield Road, 2/24
An officer approached a person sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot on Old Middlefield Road because his vehicle’s license tags were false. In the course of his investigation, the officer reportedly found more than 100 counterfeit DVDs and more than 400 counterfeit CDs that appeared to be for sale.
Police said the suspect did not give his true identity at first. A fingerprint check revealed his identity and the suspect, Salvador Tello-Lopez, 33, was booked on charges of providing false identity to police officer, and possessing counterfeit media. He also had a felony warrant for his arrest out of San Mateo County.
Battery, 2400 block California Street, 2/26
A male victim was walking on California Street and talking on his cell phone. He was passing a group of three males when a verbal exchange began. The three subjects punched him and fled. The victim called 911 and all three suspects were located on the 600 block of S Rengstorff and booked at the main jail for battery. All are adults and Mountain View residents.
