The Peralta Consort – an affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society – is a San Jose-based ensemble formed in 2006, playing music written before 1800 (especially from the Baroque period), incorporating both period and modern instruments (including strings, flute, recorder, harpsichord and organ, according to the group’s website).

Palo Alto’s Museum of American Heritage will host the group for a performance of its “The Reign in Spain” program, featuring works by Jean Baptiste Loeillet, Antonio Vivaldi, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Georg Philipp Telemann, Alessandro Marcello and Thomas Arne.

June 6, 7 p.m., Museum of American Heritage, 351 Homer Ave., Palo Alto; $10/free to museum members; .theperaltaconsort.com/performance-dates/.
