The Mountain View Challenge Team and Mesa de la Comunidad will be hosting a Gang Awareness Seminar today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Castro Elementary School, located at 505 Escuela Ave.
The informational seminar will touch on several topics related to gangs, such as trends, culture and recruitment. The seminar will be in both English and Spanish. Mountain View police officers from the department’s Gang Suppression Team will be available to answer questions.
Child care will be provided for the duration of the event. There will also be door prizes and information for other resources available.
