Friday is the last day to plug your city for Google’s “Fiber Optic Trial for Communities Project.” To make your nomination, go to Google’s fiber page and click on “Nominate your community.” The deadline is 5 p.m.
Cities across the country have gone out of their way to promote themselves ahead of today’s deadline. Mountain View leaders have been encouraging residents to nominate their city, and staffers have launched a Facebook page to promote the idea and offer more information.
