Gabby Lewis recorded six goals and made six steals in helping Castilleja beat visiting Mountain View 15-4 in a SCVAL De Anza Division girls water polo match Tuesday.
Lewis also had two assists as the Gators (14-5, 12-1) remained in a first-place deadlock with Los Gatos (21-2, 12-1) with one match remaining. The Wildcats beat host Palo Alto 11-5 on Tuesday.

Serafina Cortez scored twice and had four assists while Sydney Lowell scored four goals, had two assists and made two steals. Caitlyn Chau added a pair of goals and Janet Meng also scored.
Castilleja hosts Palo Alto in its league finale on Thursday while Los Gatos hosts Homestead.
Kenza Ashworth scored twice and recorded four steals in helping Gunn down Los Altos 10-3.
Pooja Bucklin scored three times and added two assists and Siham Arsalane had two goals and three assists for the Titans (13-5, 9-4), who host Mountain View in the regular season finale on Thursday afternoon.
Sawyer McKenna scored once, had two assists, five steals and two blocked shots as Gunn secured the No. 3 seed for the league finals next week. Mia Knezevic also scored twice while Jayden Kratt recorded eight saves.
Katie Spitzer scored twice for Los Altos and Natasha Suppes also scored.
Boys water polo

Gunn clinched the SCVAL De Anza Division championship Tuesday, beating host Los Altos 12-6 to improve to 11-0 in league play.
The Titans look to go undefeated in the SCVAL when Mountain View visits for a 6:45 p.m. Senior Day contest.
In another contest, Palo Alto knocked off visiting Los Gatos 11-9.
In the PAL Ocean Division, Drew Ostrander, Jack Lahnam and Finn Moddy each scored twice to help Sequoia beat San Mateo 10-9.
Girls tennis

Tessa Ellingson, Emma Williams, Lila Motamedi and Jasmine Hou each won their singles matches in straight sets and Menlo-Atherton beat San Mateo 7-0 in a PAL Bay Division match Tuesday.
Also, Woodside lost at Carlmont 7-0.
In the Ocean Division, host Sequoia beat Capuchino 7-0.
Gunn won at Lynbrook 4-3 and has a 9-1 record in SCVAL El Camino Division play with two home matches remaining.
Gunn got wins from Aoi Kunimoto and Kailani Baker-Matsuoka in singles matches and from the doubles teams of Nimisha Sivaraman and Elise Naddell and Sarah Jung and Ellie Yua.
Sacred Heart Prep’s No. 1 singles player Natalie Dias won her match but Crystal Springs won the overall contest 4-3 in WBAL action Tuesday.
The doubles teams of Berkeley Bernstein and Leah Lynch and Audrey Hampton and Clementine Devaux also won for the Gators (4-12, 1-7).
In another match, Menlo topped Notre Dame Belmont 7-0.
In the WCAL, Saint Francis beat St. Ignatius 6-1. The Lancers (12-2, 7-0) host Presentation at Cuesta Tennis Center on Thursday.
Girls volleyball

Mountain View defeated host Gunn 25-18, 25-18, 25-18 and Los Altos downed visiting Homestead in three sets to remain tied for second place behind Los Gatos, which clinched at least a tie for the SCVAL De Anza Division title with a 25-14, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17 victory at Palo Alto.
In the PAL Bay Division, Menlo-Atherton swept host Sequoia 27-25, 25-19, 25-18 to improve to 7-5 in league play with matches against San Mateo and Burlingame remaining.
Carlmont defeated Woodside, 13-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-11.
Sacred Heart Prep needed five sets to get past host Notre Dame Belmont 25-19, 25-23, 11-25, 20-25, 15-9 and remain within a game of West Bay Athletic League Foothill Division leader Menlo, a 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 25-9 winner over host Harker.
Menlo (24-5, 8-0) takes a 14-match winning streak into it match with visiting ND Belmont on Thursday while SHP (23-3, 7-1) brings a seven-match win streak into its match at Notre Dame San Jose.
Senior Millie Muir led SHP past the Tigers with 14 kills, 30 assists and 18 digs. Sophomore Isabelle Marco added 18 kills, 19 assists, nine digs, four blocks and three aces.
Kellyn Zim had seven kills and 15 digs, Ellie Wheeler recorded three aces to go with 23 digs, Tatum Baker had six kills and Iris O’Connor added 13 digs.
Dani Parker and Sarah Alnajjar combined for another five kills and six blocks.
In the West Catholic Athletic League, Saint Francis went on the road and beat Valley Christian 25-16, 25-10, 25-11. The Lancers (14-10, 4-3) lost to the Warriors (10-8, 4-4) the first time around in five sets.
Saint Francis travels to play at league leader Mitty (29-6, 7-1) on Thursday.
Cross country
The Palo Alto boys and Los Altos girls dominated action in the third SCVAL meet Tuesday at Baylands Park.
Palo Alto’s top six male runners finished among the top 14 and the Vikings scored 31 points. Mountain View was second with 92 points. Los Altos placed fifth (142) and Gunn was sixth (165).
Los Altos’ top seven female runners placed among the top 16 as the Eagles scored 44 points, 20 points better than Los Gatos and 23 points better than Palo Alto. Mountain View (115) was fourth and Gunn (142) sixth.
Grant Morgenfeld led Palo Alto’s contingent, finishing second behind Saratoga’s Harrison Dance. Moregnfeld was timed in 15:43.2, about 11 seconds behind Dance. Mountain View’s Emmanuel Leblond was third in 16:08.5.
Eion O’Connell (16:09.9) and Mateo Fesslmeier (16:10.5) followed in fourth and fifth, respectively, for Palo Alto and Mountain View’s Evan Markelz was sixth in 16:13.3.
Paly’s James Miller (16:30.9) was ninth and teammate John Bard (16:39.5) was 11th. Jake Seley was Gunn’s top runner, going 16:54.0 to place 16th.
Palo Alto’s Elizabeth Fetter won with a time of 18:07.7 and teammate Hillary Studdert was third in 18:38.3.
Los Altos dominated the rest of the top 16, with Riley Capuano placing second in 18:28.7, Fiona Bodkin in seventh in 18:58.2, Jasleen Sidhu (19:28.6) in 10th, Ella Fadil (19:33.3) in 12th, Lauren Soobrian (19:34.6) in 13th, Maddy Randall (19:34.9) in 14th and Shelli Lewis (19:44.5) in 16th.
Mountain View’s Julia Gentin (19:22.5) and Palo Alto’s Kinga Czajkowska (19:31.0) interrupted the Eagles’ party with a ninth and 11th place finish, respectively.
Mountain View’s Eliana Montgomery (19:47.2) was 17th, just ahead of Gunn’s top runner Neha Rishi, who was 19th in 19:52.89.
Field hockey
Saint Francis fell at Los Gatos 1-0 in a SCVAl De Anza Division contest on Tuesday. The Lancers (10-2-1, 7-2-1) host Los Altos Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles (5-6, 4-5) beat Presentation 4-0 on Tuesday.
