Pinewood is the defending Central Coast Section Open Division champion, beating Mitty in the championship game.

Mitty (18-1, 6-0) played at St. Francis in a West Catholic Athletic League contest Tuesday and looked like it was preparing for a rematch with Pinewood, though St. Ignatius will have something to say about that too.

The Lancers (14-4, 4-3) actually led early and then Mitty’s intense pressure took over, causing many turnovers. The Monarchs won 74-30.

Jess Oakland led St. Francis with 11 points.
